Walnut Oil in skincare

Although traditionally used as a culinary oil, Walnut oil is becoming increasing popular in skincare due to its high content of unsaturated fatty acids, especially omega 3, which contribute to healthy skin. It is a ‘dry’, easily absorbed oil so it penetrates deeply into the skin leaving it soft, supple and less prone to dryness. It also contains good levels of antioxidants (vitamin E and ellagic acid) that protect against free radicals and help keep lines at bay. It is therefore an excellent oil for dry and maturing skin, with use over time giving a more youthful appearance.

Rapeseed Oil in skincare

Another oil traditionally associated with the kitchen, yet it has remarkable properties suitable for the skin. It is particularly rich in antioxidants (beta carotene pro vitamin A and vitamin E) which promote healthy skin growth and protect the skin against free radicals. It also contains high levels of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which contribute to overall skin health and moisturisation.
